Scarlett got the shock of her life when she discovered that Theresa was staying with Molly. Ruth decided to take it upon herself to organise a hen party for Gabriella. Raymond and Eileen attended a foster training day at the community centre, where Eileen tried flirting with the course leader. Scarlett tried to pay Theresa off and hopefully get rid of her, but her plan didn't work. She later saw Theresa selling dodgy goods on the street and then shopped her to the police. Scarlett refused to tell Jimmy why she did it. At the party, Ruth tried to convince Gabriella that she wans't in love with Andy. Theresa and Molly turned up at the pub after closing. Theresa demanded that Scarlett handed over the takings out of the till, otherwise she would let a few secrets slip. After they had left, Scarlett told Raymond and Eileen that they had been robbed by an unknown intruder.

Scarlett was over the moon as Molly moved out - however the happiness was short-lived when she learned that her new residence is next door. Amber received unexpected news concerning her mother's business, while Charlie became suspicious of Lee. A devastated Derek tried to come to terms with his mother's death as the day of her funeral arrived. After calling a truce, Scarlett and Molly's relationship started to become bareable, until the return of one of their relations, Theresa.

Derek was still in search of Stella. Eileen and Raymond prepared to impress their social worker, in order to finalize their fostering plan. With Murray's help, Derek found Stella, but she refused to accept his apology. Eileen moved her things over to the pub. Amber's colleagues and friends tried to cheer her up following recent events with her parents. A woman was hit by a car, and the last number she called was Derek's. Fearing it was Stella, Derek went to view the body, which turned out to be his mother Alice's. Her past concerning her own children came back to haunt Eileen whilst being interviewd by the social worker. Derek blamed Stella for his mother's death. Lee returned to the Murdoch house after Amber called him. Stella came back to Shieldinch to talk to Derek.

After Malcolm changed his police statement, Lenny was released from prison. Lydia was eager to get out of Shieldinch, but Amber was reluctant to leave with her. The other residents gathered together in order to solve the situation. When collared by Lenny, Lydia agreed to let him meet Amber, only making her more anxious to leave. Amber told Lenny that they're finished as father and daughter. Lenny returned to the portacabin where he manage to possess a gun, and was later confronted by Eileen, Scarlett, Jimmy and Bob. Amber discovered Lydia's lies to the police. The men of Shieldinch faced Lenny, resulting in Jimmy punching him. Lenny then returned to the house for a final word with Lydia, before letting her go.

Ruth and Gordon arrived at the idea of moving in together. Liz became concerned for Malcolm's health. Iona prepared Bob for his singing audition, but harsh comments from Molly nearly made him give up. Eileen wanted new living arrangements in order to escape Gina and Murray. A distressed Malcolm eventually told Liz that he'd lied to the police regarding the night of Ewan's death. Bob's audition didn't go well, but he later showed off his talents in the Tall Ship. A face from Ruth's past made her consider her future with Gordon. Liz persuaded Malcolm to tell the police the truth.

After a one night stand with Victor, Robbie was taught a valuble lesson. Scott returned to Shieldinch, in perfect time to advise Ruth on how to take her relationship with Gordon to the next level. Meanwhile, Innes struggled to find a way of telling Charlie that he's moving in with girlfriend Beth. Following a argument in the street, Robbie made a shocking revelation about his past to Victor.

Scarlett discovered that Molly was still in Shieldinch. Gina was left household cleaning products by Archie, but Eileen advised her not to let her past control current events. While she answered the phone, Scarlett left Madonna playing outside alone, where she later disappeared. A distraught Scarlett feared the worst, while many of the neighbours rallied round in an attempt to find her, including Molly. Molly turned out to be hiding Madonna at Bob's garage all along. Iona told Big Bob that a second audition for a talent show is being held, and that she would be happy to be his coach. Gina's dinner with Murray didn't go as planned, but the pair later made up. Bob found out what Molly had done and told Scarlett. She later confronted Molly and threatened to call the police, but was blackmailed into allowing her mother to stay at the Mullen residence.
